I bet it's a small drone of some sort. Likely a personal toy of someone in that neighborhood. A friend of mine actually builds hexacopters, so they're not unheard of....

I'd bet money that it's just dust blowing up from the farmfield that they're standing in.

Some of it looks like bugs, some looks like someone's mylar balloon got away from them during high winds. The VCR footage seemed to indicate 7/4 as the date? Yes, they're unidentified. No, they're not little gray men or some robotic probe worried about why the Creator has not responded.
