    Default 10 Round Magazines

I am looking for some 10 round mags. Seem to be more expensive than 30 Rounders. I want some because 1) they conserve ammo and just work better when shooting with a buddy. 2) 1 Stripper clip per mag and it's full.

If anyone has and doesn't use, I would be interested in paying reasonable price for one or two or three.

    Thanks.

You want a 10 round magazine? fine, I've got no probem with that, in fact, more power to ya!

However, your logic for wanting them, as you posted here, FAILS

1a. Conserve ammo- you're the one controlling the rate of consumption with the trigger. mag doesn't play into it.

    1b. Work better - honestly now, how's that ???

    2. 1 stripper clip and it's full - well if you put one stripper clip in a 20/30/40 or even a betamag, it's still only got 10 rounds, this isn't rocket science!

    thanks. whatever.

Meaning that if a 10 round clip is used when shooting with a buddy, the shooter will be out in 10 rounds, the other shooter's turn will come sooner, meaning more shooter changes for time spent at the range. Quicker for everyone to get some fun out of it.
That's what I mean for "conserves ammo" and "works better". I know you only have to put 10 in any clip for the same outcome. Duh.

Oh, and thanks to the first two posts with some useful information.

I had a couple of Bushmaster 10-round magazines. They worked just fine, and looked like the newer curved 20-rounders. One thing that sucked about them is that since they were for "ban" states, they were made in such a way that you could not take them apart without destroying the mag body. I'm pretty sure that this was so people wouldn't use the bodies to convert them to 20-rounders. So, while they worked, if they ever got dirty or if the springs would go TU, you'd pretty much have to toss them. I honestly cannot comment on other makes of 10-round mags.

For shooting off the bench or prone, I really do like old USGI 20-round mags.
