Thread: New bike!

  1. #1

    Default New bike!

Going out tomorrow and hopefully Sunday if anyone's interested. Probably Deer Creek Canyon.

'07 Gary Fisher X-Caliber 29er. MSRP $1379, I picked it up brand new from my LBS for $1040 out the door. I will be eating ramen for quite some time, I think.

Cooler. My wheels are bigger and I have a fork with TWO legs.

I've always been a MTB'er, just not as hardcore until lately. Wish I'd gone on some of the rides you guys were doing a while back. Next year though!

Or tomorrow, I think I may do Deer Creek again for the fourth time in three weeks.

Ha I know, and it cost twice as much as the SVO ($650 for that car). It's soooooo sweet though, I took it up to DC this afternoon and it climbs like a mountain goat and is way faster than my old 26er Giant. Definitely worth it.

Well we can try to get a ride in before Christmas if the snow doesn't fly.

I prefer to ride when it is a little cooler anyways.

They only downside to riding when it is cooler is..... wait for it...... wait for it..... not as many hot chicks... but then you usually get the real hardcore riding girls... pretty much guaranteed that they are in good shape.

Wanna try for a ride on maybe the 1st of Dec?

    7, you in?

this is assuming the snow doesn't fall.
