    Default My custom made Knives

    Hey guys,

I felt the need to show of some of my custom creations. Hope you like them. I have been currently working on super light hunting knives and hidden tang knives. When I get some pictures of them I will have to post them too. I make my knives out of O-1 steel and I like to use burl wood, however the red handled knife is a frame handle with red g10 and black g10 frame.

Below is the Gannett Ridge knife. I developed it wit the guys from Gannett Ridge hunting here in Fort Collins. They used it on two deer one weekend the past couple of weeks and they said they didn't even need to sharpen it. Handle is some mystery burl wood that was stabilized.

Below is the frame handle knife. Red and black g10 handle and frame.

Below is a ~4" blade knife with Ironwood handles, tapered tang. This knife and it's sister who has no taper but has olive wood for handles.

Below is a bushcraft style knife that I created for my father. It has stabilized box elder handle.

This was a best man's present for a friend of mine who got married. He wanted a nice knife with amboyna burl on it that matched the wood inlays that he and his wife have on their wedding rings.

I like the burl handle knife.

Now, you want to add a little more info to this knife pron thread?

    Steal?
    Handle materials?
    Pricing?

    Hey Ah Pook!

I added some more information on the original post. I use O-1 Steel for my knives. I like it because it keeps a nice edge and when you do need to sharpen them it is easy compared to some of the super steels ( at least easier to sharpen in the field when I am gutting an elk ).

I like wooden handles but I have started using g10 on some of my knives as well. The burl handle you like is box elder burl. I have another piece similar to it, but it is golden in color waiting for a knife.

I hesitate to add pricing information to the thread because it isn't a for sale thread.

No blood or guts. It kind of detracts from the knife.

[MOD] Just a reminder, keep private sales posts in the sales threads. Once you've completed your probationary time and have read and acknowledged the sales section rules, you can then sell privately owned items.

Industrial sales is a different ballgame and any items being sold or advertised by a company or representative needs to have permission by the site owner, Marlin, to start a section in the Industrial Partner section and stay active on the site.

I know you're new to the site, so I'm just posting this here in the thread so you know the ground rules.

The knives are definitely nice though. Something this crowd may very well be interested in.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

I understand, thank you. A few posts earlier I was trying to make that point. Sorry about that if I got to detailed. I just wanted to show off some knives. (Removed any sales referances).

I do have a couple more knife pictures of some different knives if you guys are interested?
