    As of right now, I have not done anything with Damascus. I don't have a forge to forge my own steel. However, I have been mulling over getting a billet that is already made and doing a knife out of it.

    That would be cool process to see. How do you make your knives without a forge? Is it steel stock, or knife blanks you start with? Always wanted to try and make my own.

    I use stock removal for my knives. You can purchase the stock in different types, thicknesses, widths and then go from there. You still have to shape, grind and heat treat the metal

    Thanks, maybe I'll look into it after all the holidays are over with.
