A storm that seems to be brewing, mail order/internet ammunition
There were rumblings about the "ease" of acquisition of mail order ammunition after the Aurora incident. These were brought up on the news at the time and there were some state legislators that were looking at this as an issue. Now that the election is over and CO has a Democrat majority in state government, I think it is only a matter of time before something is proposed. I do not think they are going to go after the guns, or any silly assault bans, for no other reason than the industry is a larger part of the economy here and it would be stupid.
However, I am fairly confident someone is going to make issue of mail order ammunition. They do not realize that a fair number of us consider a good day at the range to start at 300 rounds, and usually it is more than that. Especially when there has been one very public shop owner hopping on the bandwagon of how internet/mail order ammunition sales are a "danger to everyone" (Rich Wyatt, love him hate him I don't really care, he just said it"). I would like to think our state government can approach this with more logic and a cool head, but I just can't see anyone in politics in that light, been around too long for that.
