Default Colorado Assault Weapons Ban Legislation

I follow the news pretty regularly, but this one slipped through my radar. I was linked to this story after randomly stumbling on it via thetruthaboutguns.com:

Well, there's a small chance this could be reality with a Democratic House, Senate, and Governor.

"My son didn't need to die," Hoover said. "He was going to the movies and had that person not gotten his hands on a gun, those guns, we wouldn't be here now, We need to take action and Colorado and the country need to take a look at gun ownership in a responsible way."

Sorry. Had the CU shrinks and educators Reported this killer to the police, PERHAPS this shooting could have been avoided. Tha's the fact. Yet Educators would rather wring their hands debating the moral implications of violating confidentiality, than act!
Amazing how "their rights" are more important than the Health life and Safety of the General Public. Liberalism, Its fatal.

Yep. Emotional victims of violent crime are completely rational, logical, unbiased, and THE best place to find legislative guidance.

McCann is a douche and I would bet my entire savings he doesn't get many calls from republican citizens in his area.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

Yep, plan on retiring back home in MT. Far away from any concentration of hominids.

I'm not even going to name names but I have met several of the 'victims' and their families.. and their biggest concern is a paycheck.. don't let this bs gun control their spewing make you think otherwise. Look at the uproar they threw when the victims fund money didn't go directly to them.. Trash is trash.

"Legislators in favor of stricter gun laws say there are certain guns that people don't need to have."

This topic has been beaten to death here, so I won't repeat any of the sound arguments which define the above statement as idiotic. I know I'm pretty sick of hearing how something else should be banned because it has been decided for me that I don't need one.

Off-topic: was this article written on a smartphone? It's barely intelligible with all of the inappropriate words inserted where the correct words should have been. Every job description I've read for the past 20 years starts with "excellent communication skills." I would think that skill would actually be vetted for a position as a "journalist."
