AR Barrel

When installing a barrel is it supposed to be torqed to a certain spec and since I don't have experience in this should I have a gunsmith do it ???

There is a book spec, but it doesent mean squat if the gas tube hole/indent doesent line up. Get it tight, loosen it, tighten it back up, loosen it back up then tighten it so it lines up.
