Got this in an E-Mail...

I got this in an E-Mail from a Sergeant I work with.

Now, this whole thing may be true, but, the states that are listed are HEAVYILY dominated by archery hunting. I don't know if they filtered the results by GUN TAGS only, but still, pretty damn impressive if true...

I am aware of all the red x's... There were cute little cartoon hunters in the email...

America 's hunters!
I had never thought about this...

A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a
handful of states and arrived at a striking
conclusion:


There were over 600,000 hunters
this season in the state of Wisconsin ..
Allow me to restate that number:
600,000

Over the last several months,
Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth largest army in
the world.

More men under arms than in Iran .

More than France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to
the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin , to hunt with
firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and
Michigan's 700,000 hunters,
all of whom have now returned home safely.
Toss in a quarter million hunters
in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the
hunters of those four states alone
would comprise the largest army in the world.
And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states.
It's millions more.

The point?

America will forever be safe
from foreign invasion with that
kind of home-grown firepower.


Hunting...
it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's a matter of national
security.

when next we consider gun control.

Overall it's true,
so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters
don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question
would still remain...
What army of 2 million would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed citizens???

Probably somewhat true.

According to Gunpolicy.org, there is almost 1 privately owned gun for every person in Amerika (270,000,000). Some people may not personally own guns, but still know how to shoot. For example, some guys I work with don't own guns, but have to qualify on the M4 and M9 several times a year. Or our kids may not own guns, but we still take them to the range and teach them how to shoot. The number of privately owned firearms outnumbers government owned arms in the US by almost 7:1.

There's no doubt in my mind that just about any level of .gov would take away our guns if they thought they could get away with it, and the rest of the world (for the most part) would be happy about it.

Just think if those hunters gathered in groups of 4-8 people once a month, brought their military pattern semi auto rifles and trained as a squad. They would be citizen militia and they would scare the bejesus out of the fedgoons.

Gives me a warm feeling just thinking about it.
