I want to try it, but never got round to it.
Deep frying the turkey is the bomb. SOP for us for the last 15 yrs. We do it in the shop when weather is bad. Key - be careful and have a steel shop bldg.![]()
I've fried quite a few of them and that is definitely the way a turkey was made to be cooked.
I have done enough of them that I am fairly certain I know what the hell I'm doing. That being said, I had given some consideration to doing one in the garage a few years back because it was colder than a well diggers ass outside that day. Needless to say, better judgement got the best of me and I just did it outside in the back yard where I usually do it.
Every year I say I'm going to do this and every year I cheap out and don't want to spend the coin on the fryer and oil.
Damm that looks good though.
