    Default Painting Kydex

So how do you paint kydex and have it stick? What paint do you use? Any neat little tricks I need to know? Thanks.

I've used Brownell's Aluma-Hyde after a wipe down with alcohol and a light sanding. Seems to work OK

Self etching primer helps a bunch.

Krylon makes a line of paints formulated for plastic called "Fusion" that might work http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion_for_plastic/ Rust-oleum makes a product as well but I haven't used it.

Wipe down with a prep wipe and spray an adhesion promoter and then your primer/paint. That's how I've painted plastics on cars so I would think it would work on kydex.
