I'm beginning to realize that sitting at home on the internet is the best way to buy stuff as opposed to going to the so-called gun shows anymore. It's too bad it used to be a good Saturday with gun friends.
I agree, it has been a long time since I have seen a "deal" at any gun show. As an added bonus, the Internet has the lack of tax and dealing with a crowd of yahoos.
Well, I went.
It has been a LOOOONG time since I went to a show, now I remember why. Did not really expect to find the gun I wanted, at a reasonable price, but this was OUTRAGEOUS. On GunBroker they go for $500-600, I talked to a local dealer, and can get a brand new one for a little over $700, 5280 had the ONLY one in the caliber I want, and he wanted $929 for it.
Even the list of smaller stuff was a waste of time. Holster, mag, mag holder, belt, maybe some ammo, etc. Nada, zilch, zero, at ANY price.
Good thing I went to meet someone so we could go for lunch and BS. Then a trip to visit a dying V.N. vet friend. THEY were the only things that made the trip worth while.
It's back to watching the auctions, and ordering parts online. Gunshows are dying, just like Dave's did, and for the same reason(s).
GEEEEEEZ!
that's all I have to say.![]()
