Anyone mount a 1913 rail to the top of their 870?

Anyone mount a 1913 rail to the top of their 870? Some of newer factory shotguns are coming with them in their "tactical" (I'm starting to hate that word) models.

It can be done but one issue a fair amount of Remmy's have: the "roof" of the receiver is not thick enough to get substantial threads in it. That is why you see barrels with cantilever rails and saddle mounts. I did speak to Remington service regarding this and their reccomendation is what I noted: Unless it came from the factory with a rail a saddle mount/cantilever barrel is suggested.
It makes me wonder if the "tactical" models are hand selected for thicker roofs.
