    Default Vortex Red Dot

Looking at the Vortex Strikefire, has anyone had good or bad experiences with it?

I have one on my 15-22 and love it. Been there for several thousand rounds and hold zero great.

I have one on my 15-22 as well and have had the same experience as RCCrawler. I also own a number of Vortex PST scopes and a Vortex Razor HD spotting scope and they have all been great.

Vortex strike fire red/green kept shutting off when I shot it on an AR (5.56 cal). I sent it back, they fixed it, then I sold it.

I have not owned a Strikefire, my consensus from everyone's review it is 50/50, some hate it and some love them. Why I held off on them then I bought a SPARC and love the little thing, it $40 more than the Strikefire, but essentially a Micro dot clone, uses aimpoint mounts and all if you don't like the the 3 different mounting options they give you in the box.

There is this great review of one on ar15.com where guy just abused the SPARC and it held up.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"
