Doesn't look like we have the full story- but I will say this, not necessarily related, I cannot stand being next to a car where their music is loud enough not only for them to hear, but everyone within 3 blocks can hear it... My personal take on carrying is that I only draw if I fear for my life. I would only open fire if I saw that as the alternative to a very immediate threat. I also know that doing these actions would almost certainly involve bankruptcy and possible prison.

If they waved a gun at him they expected a response just not the one they got but probably the one they deserved. Loud music is seldom life threatening and even if it turns out he was justified in the shooting he's still an idiot for having left, not called the cops and engaging in an argument with a car load of teens when he was leaving in a few minutes. I'm not condoning being a doormat but dang pick your battles, what was the upside of this one?
