Default New range openning soon in Weld Co

Colorado Shooting Sports L.L.C is openning a new range east of the Galeton range in Weld County. We had hoped to break ground this last weekend but the snow changed all of that. We hope to have it done with 2-3 weeks but weather will determine when that is.

The range will consist of 2 50 yard long, 20 shooter capable bays that are bermed 360 degrees. This will allow us to do 360 scans and also offer CQB courses in 2008 from outside training companies. Our NCTG (Northern Colorado Training Group) has been training together for about 2 months now and it has been frustrating finding a place to shoot that meets our training needs. All to often we bounced between the Galeton range and the public range, only to be limited by the strict restrictions of the Galeton range and the 1/2 drunk guy poppin' rounds of in all directions. Looks like we have a home.
We also have offsets for 1500-2000+ yard shooting for our upcoming Barrett classes in 2008.
We currently run a CCW class every weekend and this will allow us to provide a safe, professional training area that will also allow us to train realistically with 360 scans.
We have also contacted Tactical Response about fighting pistol, fighting shotgun, and fighting rifle classes in 08'. We will also be entertaining requests from other schools to bring great training to this area.
This project has been in the works for quite a while so I dont have any pricing structure, site security issues hammered out as I have been busy with getting the earthwork done and working out the leaze agreement for this 7,000 acre area. Pics will be posted soon.
    Thanks

    Default range

The range is 10 miles east of Highway 85. I was out doing a site survey this last weekend. We have decided to scale back the project to one 20 shooter 360 bermed range for now, it will still have the extreme range shooting capability. We may look again at the 2nd bermed area at a later date. We are also looking at putting up modular walls for CQB training, etc...
We are not associated with any existing range. This is a whole new gig.

We just were not happy with the restrictions of the WCFW range that keep me from teaching a 360 scan effectively. I understand the liability that the WCFW range has to deal with but.... We also didnt want to require a Tetanus shot if we held CCW classes at the public range

I will post pics the same day we finish earth work. We will also return requests from out of state schools that are eagerly anticipating the completion of the project.

We have 8-10 people lined up for a CCW class to formally break the range in.
Discussions with the construction company are projecting a completion prior to January 30th.

    Thanks
