    Default Iron Curtain Creations... ?

Anybody have any experience with them? I am looking around for a builder for a couple AK74 kits, I know of the usual nationally known guys but if someone local could do them with the same level of detail that would be great. I was going to attempt to do these myself but seeing that they are mint unissued kits I am thinking of sending them out to have them professionally done.

    Thanks!

IF you have a complete kit with a bbl that is already drilled & head spaced, it should not take more than 1-1.5hrs to have a ready to operate (Safely) AK. That does not include refinishing, or any other work (polish H/T/S) etc. based on hos hrly rate not bad.

I have talked to him before and he definitely seems to be a detail oriented guy also a buddy of mine had him do a krink build and it turned out very nice, from the one build I saw he does good work and seems to be priced in line with other high end builders

I have a recent kit so all of the barrel parts need to be removed from the stubs and repopulated to a new barrel. I already broke one punch trying to drive out a gas block pin so I stopped right there and put it back in the box before I did any serious damage. I can see the rest of the build not taking a lot of time with the right tools. I am thinking these will be my only AKs so even though I would love to try to tackle them myself I am also thinking I would like these to be perfect.

So far no public horror stories though? I think I read somewhere that he used to work for another builder?

I have built several FALs doing my own parkerizing on the stove and using other back woods methods.. (you can only do so much living in a condo) but the AK with the additional tools needed for the pins and rivets is making me think I should just send it out. I know about canted sight issues and other things.. I don't have a problem paying for the build as I know what kind of labor goes into it, I just want to be sure I am going to end up with something great. Thanks!

Plus as a local business owner I like to support local business when I can.

He's a vetted vendor on theakforum.net so that says alot, become a member there and look at his sub forum if you want but as far as I know he does good work regardless of his previous employment (I don't believe he's the former builder from Lancaster but I might be wrong)
