I know I don't thank cops enough for what they do. Yes, they deal with the public on their very worst days. Not only is there significant physical danger, but the negative situations has to wear on them. Keep up your spirits, guys, and thanks sincerely. Please stay safe.

The suspect that killed an officer when responding to a suicidal subject call has been released. I thought I would share. Didn't see anything or if anyone knew. This is pretty sad.

Most pilots know that being a Bush Pilot is where the danger comes into the occupation. Most commercial aviation is complex but very safe.

Not all LE work is dangerous and most LE cycle through various assignments throughout their career. Some things are just more dangerous than others.

Where is Underwater Welding on that list???? When I was a kid, that was always the bad ass, you gonna die for sure job.

Its the little things that will get you regardless of your job.

    Life is fatal.

    Be safe.

Not trying to minimize the work of the LEO's, but lets not compare deploying to a combat zone to being a police officer.

I think that would totally depend on the city. DC after the sun goes down...fuck that place.

That's exactly what you were trying to do. That's like saying, "No offense but you are an asshole and a low life piece of shit." I said no offense though! I agree that deploying into a combat outweighs a lot of what Cops do but critical incidents such as Columbine and others that cops have dealt with have been every bit as serious as what deployed soldiers are doing. You are welcome to your viewpoint but don't try to water it down. Clearly you feel that what soldiers do is much more dangerous than what cops do.

I wasn't equating it- if you are commenting on my post- I was saying, it's a selfless, thankless, service, similar to .mil. I don't think their job is nearly as rough as spending 12 mos (er 6-9 for you devil dogs ) downrange, hell, they get to go home at night. I was just making the comparison that both jobs are protecting America in their own way. Both are service to something bigger than just yourself, that's the comparison I was making.
