The biggest flaw is they send in a highly trained person to be the attacker and he knows who to target.
All said, having a firearm with little training is still better than no firearm.

It's called "getting a handful of everything"- and is very common with people, even heavily trained people, who are not used to drawing their pistol out from under a cover garment.
Yeah, I would have a trouble taking out of my pistol from a shirt that nearly goes down to the knee.

Bottom line is still the same, the folks with guns will have much better chance fighting back compare to the non armed.
IMO, they were doomed from the start by wearing gloves. NFW will I ever try to handle a gun of any kind with gloves on. Gloves are to keep my hands/fingers warm, I refuse to use them for anything else, except welding.
Bets on whether they would have broadcast this if one of their test subjects had center punched the "active shooter" before he managed to get a shot off?
