Folks, I just learned about this and as much as I am all about protecting natural sites, I am also about free access to our country's beauty: I think this one is going way too far.

The Outdoor Industry Association recently sent a letter signed by over 100 businesses asking him to declare a "Greater Canyonlands" National Monument. It is 1.4 million acres (slightly less than the state of Delaware). It would certainly have a detrimental effect on jeeping and other access to the area.

Basically: Most of the roads / trail, between Moab (east), Hanksville (west), I70 (north), Blanding (south)
