Default This is what happens when I get bored...

I went and shot the poo with Jim on monday. Seeing how easy reloading can be got me started...

I went off and bought a tumbler on the way home.

Went up to scope out Harris park for this weekend and picked up a ton of brass.

I don't have a press, so I deprimed all of it by hand... Yeah. Not fun.

The 223 from the bucket is in the tumbler now. There's a bunch of 9mm and some 45 done too. There are 41 30-06s there.

    Enjoy the pictures.

Damn JM. That's a lot of work right there. Check for used presses on CL and here. Just for starters. Lee is the cheapest way to go, but Lee is reliable. I say start cheap to see if you like it.

BTW if you start reloading now, the components are getting pricey and harder to find. Just an FYI.

I started with an RCBS Rock Chucker single stage press. Still have it and use it often.

Wow! I did about the same thing. I tumbled 3000 9mm cases. Now I need to build a small, easily moveable table to mount my press on. Then I need to come up with the funds to buy bullets, primers and powder.

It's fun and very addicting. At 1st I was deathly afraid of it. Didn't want to blow my pretty face off. But stick to the basics!! Powder loads, mind your depths aka C.O.L. , crimp when needed and never ever exceed maximum load data or pressure. But MOST of all, have fun and be safe!!!!!

Look on Craigslist. I found an oak end table/cabinet thing that was small but perfect for a starter like me. I built a backboard area for plastic bins and away I went.
