    Default 1931 8th grade test

Listening to Michael Hart recently, he brought up this test.

What grade level could pass this now? If any?

My favorite question is in the Civics category.

    Question III

Show how a good home life tends to decrease the need for government.

Yeah good luck finding kids that could pass that now. Maybe at a nice charter school where they actually have to show results or lose enrollment?

The civics questions are wonderful. Wish we could make it mandatory to successfully answer those questions before you are allowed to vote.
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

History Question 3... not that many folks could answer all of them without Google!
