So how do you suggest we "fight" for our country?

We can't truly "fight" seeing as we'd be outgunned and outnumbered. Plus that’s the kind of stuff that'll land you in jail for treason.

Yes I did the homework, and as far as I can see the government is not abiding by the bill of rights. How can you fight that through politics?

Giving your money away to organizations? If that’s what it's all come to, than not much is left.
And where else in the world is there to go other than some random island in the middle of no where, which would take considerable cash to make livable.

Really I only see a few options
#1 save up money and leave
#2 stay and hope things dont degrade before you die
#3 You like the way things are going, so you stay

I mean what can average joe do to keep his country from being hijacked by power hungry politicians? If you have any better options than the above let me know.

There are far more armed people in this country than there are in the military. We wouldn't be outgunned. Besides, it's a volunteer Army and they won't fight their own people. The Founding Fathers figured we would have revolutions fairly often. There's one brewing as more people expect handouts from the government with fewer people working and having the fruits of their labor being taken from them. Change is coming, you just have to know when is the right time. Until then, keep your powder dry.
Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

Exactly, sit and wait for someone to do something for you... or bitch and moan about how much the country sucks and all there's to do is to leave.

Well i'm bieng honest what else can you do?

I mean if somone were rise up the 5 or so people with balls to do so would be swatted down like flies and be made example of. And that would just give the government more reason to take guns away from people, making it worse for everyone. It would essentially be a pointless death. You'd literally needed hundreds of thousands of people to rise up, but sadly gun owners tend to be fat and happy and have money. They are not willing to risk it all for their god given rights.

Anyways all I know is if they invade my property I wont go down without a fight before they get me.

If somone with money and power starts somthing count me in otherwise what can I making 800$ a week do? You need to be a millionear now adays to change things.

I mean just look at this thread for example, people are p'd off at me when I say this is a sinking boat, while they should have watched that video and been pissed at our government. Thats why our country is dying. People are too politically correct, and to proud to admit the boat is full of massive leaks... we're "unsinkable". Also the fact that people will not fight as long as they are fat and happy.

people aren't pissed off at stating the fact the country is in trouble. people are pissed off because the only constructive thing you've said was that you're going to evacuate yourself. see the difference?

Well I guess I can see that people would be angry about that, generally I would be too a while back...

I used to be politically active but thats all BS, it doesnt really matter.

I mean seriously what other option do I have? Vote for one of the two bad guys like every other good peon?

I think I've just finally come to the realization that there isnt anything I personally can't do about it allone. And what other option is there? Other than waiting for somone with money to step up to the plate? What if that person never steps up?

99% of so called armed people will give up their firearms without a fight as soon as there's a call to do so. Look at CA, for instance. While people are fed and there is enough entertainment -- that's all the freedom anybody needs, otherwise there'd be a revolt a long time ago (not necessary a violent one).

Who do you think would actually stop us? Most of the people who are against people like us dont like guns and wouldnt know how to use em anyways....How many of our military do you think would back up a corrupt government that is trying to oppress its own people? Most of them would leave to join our cause with thier weapons and supplies no doubt. I think alot of law enforcement would as well...not all but some are good people who care about our country and BELEIVE in their oath to defend against enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC, ie our government if it came to that. The 2nd amendment was put in place primarily for that reason, to defend against a tyranical government...like the others said if you want to be a coward, get out now....Personally i'll die before my guns are taken from me.

Well my goal is to go work for the government Badshot, but having a college degree is a requirement. Currently getting it in Political Science and than I’m going for an masters in International Affairs. On the note of what I'm doing now? I'm working for the local PD 60 hours a week while going to school. Sadly most of my class mates are all working to become lairs(lawyers) in a corrupt system.

So I'm doing my part to "fight" for this country at least I'm trying. But I'll have to climb a long and hard ladder before I can do anything major about the way this country is running.

And as to what would stop us... well I really cant predict the way things would go, if the military and PD's were on our side I doubt that would be a problem. But if we were there standing with semi auto's and the government is in abrams/bradleys I don’t think there would be much we could do about it.
I mean the military guy may believe in the cause of keeping the government straight but what would happen to him if they good guys lost? He'd be court marshaled and killed for treason. The fear may just keep many soldiers on the wrong side of things if it came down to that.

At the end of the day I would never take a law-abiding citizen’s weapons away, and I would stand in the way of my colleagues that would, but at this point that’s all I could ever do.
