I flew on a gazelle HOT/M621 once: fastest helo of it's time. If I remember correctly, the gazelle was chosen for the movie because of the Fenestron tail rotor system: Really advanced for it's time.

I'm just laughing here at how hard stevel is working to convince everyone to like a crap-ass French POS tarted up to look bad versus a US copter that could really fly.
