Default Diesel clutches: Valair or South Bend?

Anyone able to get discounts on either?

I got the old clutch out of my truck, and it's defiantly shot- but I just need a clutch kit. (Hydraulics are good)

Looking for something to hold at least 900 lb/ft of torque, maybe more if the price fits in my budget... (Close to $1000)

Has to be good for towing, 98 dodge 12v with nv4500 (currently stock 1.25" input shaft) stock turbo, not stock fueling
PM me if you can help, or have good recommendation... I'm a member at cumminsforum.com, but don't know anyone there as well as here.

I checked the member non-firearm commerce section and came up empty

    Thanks in advance,

    Gary

go Valair, if you do any towing make sure to get the kevlar/ceramic as the ceramic only will not work well for towing. eta: make sure what ever one you choose you break it in as per the manufacture, or it will always slip when you put the beans to it.

Stay away from south bend. I have had to send three back due to manufacture defect.

Except he spelled it wrong... Dieseltruckresource.com

I'm a member there, too... They just don't have the volume they used to... Cumminsforum.com is waaaay more active now

And luk is a fine clutch.... For stock, they are OEM for many brands, including Dodge.
But they won't hold up to TWICE the factory torque (ask me how I know)

Have always had good luck with Luk clutches on our Powerstrokes.
