    Default 2013 Ruger Rimfire Challenge

On 26-27 April 2013, Pikes Peak Practical Shooters and the Pueblo West Sportsmans Assn will host the Rocky Mountain Regional Ruger Rimfire Challenge.

The match will be held over both days, but it only takes one day to complete giving you the choice of days.

The targets are all steel. The stages are very new shooter friendly and require no movement.

You can shoot a second gun on the second day in a different division.

The main match will be 11 stages, 5 rifle and 6 pistol requiring a minimum of 220 rounds to complete.

There will also be an optional Precision Rifle Side match.

I am limited on slots, so get those apps in soon. Keep in mind the past 3 Regional Steel Challenge Matches in Pueblo have filled up.

Hey, Hoser, the application says limited to first 75 applicants. Is that 75 per day? If we shoot Friday, would we need to stay overnight and through Saturday for the awards ceremony?

    Cheers,
    John

    75 total.

If you win a plaque/prize and are not there at the ceremony, I will send it to you.

    Hoser,
Can I run a .22 auto rifle that has a tubular magazine and do you have to compete with both pistol and rifle?
    Thanks.

Carl, since you have to run multiple strings, reloading will be really slow unless you have loading tubes. I don't think the rule prohibit it though. NSSF RC requires stages of both rifle and pistol.

We will be running this at CRC as a local match in March so you could certainly come out and try it to see how it works.

Hey Carl. Unfortunately you do have to use both a pistol and a rifle. We will have 5 rifle stages and 6 pistol stages.

A tube mag will be slow to reload compared to a mag fed rifle, but is plenty legal.

    See you Saturday.

Will this require mag feeding (quick or timed multiple shots) or will a single shot work okay?
