Second Salvation Army kettle stolen in Colo. Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Authorities are looking for the thief who stole a Salvation Army Red Kettle outside of a Colorado Springs Walmart Friday afternoon.

KXRM reported that the theft happened at the Walmart on East Woodmen Road, near Powers Boulevard.

The station said it is the second Red Kettle that has been stolen in Colorado Springs this year. The first incident occurred on Nov. 30 at the Walmart on Razorback Road.

Officials with the Salvation Army said the Red Kettle campaign is down by $35,000 compared to this time last year, according to the station.

90% of the time the thief turns out to be the bell ringer or one of his buddies. That's what happens when you hire the homeless alcoholics with no background check. They are supposed to have a store employee watch the kettle while they go on bathroom breaks . . . because if they take them into the bathroom they get caught shaking them upside down trying to get money out of the tiny hole on top.

I was actually there yesterday, the bell ringer told me that they found it, at customer service and it was never stolen, just a mix up during a news filming.

The only way to ensure security for kettles is to bring in more strict government regulations. Clearly a new organization within the government will be created to handle the regulation.

no surprise, Obama economy is clicking along so well,
Self control: The minds ability to override the body's urge to beat the living sh.. out of some ass.... who desperately deserves it.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

Obama, so full of crap it is a miracle Air Force One can even get off the ground,
