Second Salvation Army kettle stolen in Colo. Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Authorities are looking for the thief who stole a Salvation Army Red Kettle outside of a Colorado Springs Walmart Friday afternoon.
KXRM reported that the theft happened at the Walmart on East Woodmen Road, near Powers Boulevard.
The station said it is the second Red Kettle that has been stolen in Colorado Springs this year. The first incident occurred on Nov. 30 at the Walmart on Razorback Road.
Officials with the Salvation Army said the Red Kettle campaign is down by $35,000 compared to this time last year, according to the station.
