Going for a mag on your leg seems like a reach to me.

a bit- the photo with it on my leg is really low. I was taking it on/off a lot for testing purposes. I will probably remove the uppers strap so it rides higher. Plus what else you going to do with scrap kydex and 50 cents worth of rivets and chicago screws?

Well, finished the last version. Thought I would share it in case someone else was interested in giving it a try.
Anyway, it will eventually go on a belt with an RTI wheel but I don't have it yet so just using the drop holster for picture purposes.
It's a faster/competition style type.

Not if you're right handed on the mag is on the left (wrong) side
you have reach across the body to grab it
