    Default My dog barks in his sleep...

    It's quite annoying when it happens. He's always been a very vocal dog though and a headshy dog. He didn't do this for the first 12 years of his life but after my other dog passed away it's been happening. Anyone have any advice on how to stop this / help him? His paws are moving and it seems like he's just having a normal dog dream....

    Are you sure he is not having mild seizures

    Yes. He's always been an active dreamer dog. You can watch his paws move when he sleeps

    One of my dogs has very animated dreams. We don't interrupt what must be a squirrel chase for her - let her run!

    I do during the days. He's getting old. But when he starts barking at 3am it makes me think he needs doggy therapy or another dog or something.
