Default "Armageddon Arsenals": Anyone Going To Watch It?

Just read about this in an email:

(GunReports.com) — ‘Armageddon Arsenals’ debuted last night on Discovery’s Destination America network. The series explores the weapons and security aspects of the massive new prepping movement, focusing on individuals and families across the country who are preparing for a variety of worst case scenarios–many of them more plausible now than ever.

“Once thought of as a fringe movement,” says Orion Entertainment President Chris Dorsey, “millions of Americans now call themselves doomsday preppers and are taking extraordinary measures to plan and prepare for catastrophic events. While some viewers might find weapons caching extreme, by the end of the episode many will be asking what they should be doing to prepare. There is a lot of uncertainty and fear in the country and preppers are a manifestation of the larger national movement toward self-reliance.”

The one-hour pilot featured weapons preppers in Texas, Utah, and Colorado who have amassed significant arsenals but who have also created elaborate security strategies to stay safe should the unthinkable happen. As one of the featured preppers warns, “If things get really bad it won’t matter how much food and water you have stored if you can’t protect it.”
It's on tonight at 8pm on Dish 194.

Hmm, could be fun. At least as much as "doomsday preppers" was... even if only to see what kind of kooky folks they uncovered for the show. Maybe you'll get an idea or two, maybe you won't. I'll have to see if i can find it on-demand or online this weekend. If anyone watches it tonight, leave a comment if it sucked something awful, so i know not to waste my time.

I'll probably watch it out of curiosity. But I sometimes wonder about these shows and why folks advertise on a TV show what they are doing.
I even question myself sometimes at the things I put on internet forums.

HEY AMERICA. This is how many guns we have and where they are secured. Define Arsenal, 100+ firearms, 1 with 5K of 22lr??

I think it goes beyond just "HEY AMERICA". I sometimes wonder if some of this publicity is intentionally released as a deterrent to terrorists or foreign governments. We still have a lot of guns here, so don't think about invading.

It's on channel 286 on DirecTV. I'll throw it in the DVR out of curiosity as well.

My question is where in the hell do these people get all this money for all the guns/ammo/supplies/structures they collect?

Priorities man. If we all didn't spend as much on cell phones, cars, good food, electronics, other hobbies, etc. we could put a lot more in to guns and ammo too! Imagine if you made 6 figures but didn't change your life style, and just spent the extra discretionary money on guns and ammo!? It's amazing how much ammo another 5 grand could buy.

I'm gonna watch it. But I'm guessing it's just a rehash of "Doomsday Preppers" with more guns...and less boobs than "American Guns" or whatever the name of the Gunsmoke show was.

This is what my brother and I constantly say when watching Doomsday Preppers. "Why on earth would you put on national TV your stockpile, tactics, and location?"
"There is no news in the truth, and no truth in the news."
"The revolution will not be televised... Instead it will be filmed from multiple angles via cell phone cameras, promptly uploaded to YouTube, Tweeted about, and then shared on Facebook, pending a Wi-Fi connection."
