You have a good point.. which goes to my point... Maybe if we actually put up a conservative, we would have beat Obama. But alas, we didn't. The establishment fucked us again with another progressive

I think bryjcom hit the nail on the head...the republican establishment was insane to think that Romney was the best shot. This country craved a STRONG conservative candidate...and the best the GOP could come up with was Romney?
If by strong conservative you mean strong support of personal liberties, I agree that might have worked. The Republican establishment cannot tolerate such a candidate.

But that excuse means some of us would rather see the left won over center right. Heck, few of the posters here even support violent 'reset.'

I gotta meet you someday, seriously.
You are like that little inner voice that I have that never has the balls to come out and call it like it is.

Which is exactly why the two party system always ends up like the situation we have today. If the republicans want to be the moderate progressive party that is just fine by me. But don't package a progressive as a conservative just because he has an R after his name.

I second that motion. We should put together a "Meet Jim Range Day" up north sometime soon.

Agreed, only i "think" the Conservative has vanished. I don't always vote party line, i vote who i feel would be good for me/us the people who want representation. That also has vanished. Big Money on both sides makes the 2 party system look like we'll end up as extras in the original ROLLERBALL movie.
