Walmart told me 5,200 tonight around 19:00 when I was there. Guys who bought on Saturday, picked up last night, and that was when the que was 1,600. I purchased at around 8:00 pm on Monday, and got my call at 10:50 am this morning. Seems like CBI is kicking ass to me.

So the CBI queue has reached over 5k. How many can they process in 24 hours? Just guessing, but it seems like there are at least 3-4k firearms actually sold and transferred into the hands of their new owners EVERYDAY just in CO. Rough guess, that must equal out to be over 100k+ per day for the whole country. Hell, it's not hard for me to believe that a million new firearms have reached the hands of private citizens in the last month.

Gander just told a friend that CBI hasn't ran any background checks today. He called and was #15 about 3 hours ago, according to them, he is stil 15. Any truth to this?

Do they get checked manually by a real person? If so, those people must have some blisters on their fingers from the amount of processing they're doing.

Each application is processed by hand by a person who checks all the relevant databases before sending off an approval or denial. They have been working their arses off over there.

But how many will actually do that? My guess is none.
