It's funny, when reading my facebook (the horrors!!) page the last few days, I didn't see any anti-gun sentiment at all. Guess I got my friends list set just right. But this morning a friend of a friend commented about how guns are icky or some such blather. I responded appropriately...

Jeff, you apparently don't know the definition of an assault weapon. Since you're unfamiliar with the basic terminology, perhaps you should educate yourself prior to whinging on about stuff you have no real idea about. Sorry, you're just too uneducated in this topic to argue with. I don't waste too much time with people who argue from feelings rather than actual knowledge of facts. You need to look up basic statistics on how many more people are killed when guns are banned. Let me help you: look up violence and murders in the UK and Australia after their total gun bans. Look up why the Clackamas mall shooter only killed 2 people before he hid in a stairwell and shot himself (here's a hint: a concealed carry holder drew on him.) Look up why mass murders are stopped faster with concealed carry holders than police response. Ban guns? Do you know that the same day as the school shooting in China a guy walked into a school and stabbed 20 some kids? What are you wanting to do now, ban cars, that kill many more people than guns? What kind of fascist are you, that seeks to punish 100 million people for the actions of a handful? You're obviously not evolved enough to cherish freedom over safety
I feel a little better now... and I didn't even get into how his ideas are based on collective punishment, banned by the Geneva conventions and other treaties, and an affront against human rights.
