They only want out because profit is soon going to be impossible for them. Who wants to bet that if an AWB is passed, it's after Cerberus is able to finalize a sale?

This! Nothing this big happens without somebody profiting or keeping someone from losing millions.

And this is why I found it alarming when Cerebus started purchasing all of these manufactures. Too easy for one entity to suddenly "Get Moral". The firearms industry in this country has been exclusively family owned and a "Cottage" industry.

No, he is not. Never has been either.

Cerebus is run by a bunch of conservative business men (including Dan Quayle among others) ... yes they will try to unload the gun companies if they think they will no longer be profitable, but there is no conspiracy here and George Soros has zero to do with it.

That's why them divesting themselves is probably a good thing. I'd prefer much wider ownership over assets like this than a few big players.

It sounded like it was nothing more than pressure from investors over the whole Gun Control issue, mainly the Teachers group in Cali. The Cerebus group stated VERY clearly they take no sides whatsoever on the matter and will not.............................very business like.
