To be perfectly clear, I am in favor of more gun control. It's too damn easy to get a gun... lol. I'm not saying abolish the 2nd Amendment... I'm just saying that perhaps we should rethink how easy it is to legally purchase a gun. Maybe in order to purchase a gun, it should be required that:

*prospective gun owners must take courses in firearms safety and liability.
*be properly instructed on how to actually use and store their firearm.
*shoot a qualification test to demonstrate their ability to actually hit a target... (if they're an expert marksman, then yes they can conceal carry.. or if they're so-so then they can have a firearm at their home)
*get a psych evaluation and include a list of people that would vouch for their sanity.
*of course have a background check like they already do....

I don't know... Everyone gripes about how difficult it is to get a gun in California... well, aside from the available options, the 10 day wait, magazine capacity and the stupid HSC... I think it's entirely too easy to get a gun in this state. There that's my two cents in this gun control debate.
