Totally agree. Completely mind boggling and totally negligent that she would not take extreme care to keep these weapons out of his hands if this is the case. This tragedy should have been totally preventable.

They were talking about on some news thing I heard today, that she had dedicated her life to caring for her son, due to some issues, and that's why he lived with her still... My question is, why in Zues' butthole didn't she have her guns kept in a safe if he had problems? If she spent her life helping her son, why did she have such easy access to her firearms? Sounds to me like she made some bad decisions in her parenting and firearms safety.

It hasn't been reported where the guns were at. It is possible she had them secured but maybe he figured out the combo and never told her. Your kids know you better than you think. they are smarter with technology, they can work their way around or figure out passwords, they can guess dates you might use for your combo. you never know. I'll hold judgement on her storage practices until the details emerge.

Remove firing pin, he would not know until he pulled the trigger.

There was a time in this country when we had hospitals. One could walk up and say "I have a problem" and they would take you in. I knew more than a few of my friends back in the 70's that did just that.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

Yeah, and the ACLU and their BS is among those to thank for that...

On a side note, is it my imagination or is the media trying to "Treyvon" Adam Lanza?

They keep showing us what looks like old photos of a young, fresh faced Adam all innocent looking ... trying to make him out to be the victim?

Or did he actually look like a 13 year old at 20?
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

Well, they wanted to show Trayvon as young and innocent so they used the old pictures. I don't think they want to paint Adam as innocent (frankly, the released pictures make him look like an obvious whacko to me) but they DO want to lay as much blame as possible on the guns rather than the individual.

Another very large problem we have is quantifying how many shootings are prevented with current laws and preventative measures. Because the shootings never happen.
