They are reporting right now his mother volunteered at sandy hook with the younger children. Apparently she was filing with the court to have him put in a psychiatric institution against his will. In his outrage he killed his mother and the children who she helped and eventually himself.

More proof our system needs serious help. When a persons own mother is telling the state he needs to be admitted and it gets hung up in the system, this is the result. Same with James Holmes....he was even seeking help himself, his family knew he had issues, maybe not to the extent that he did...but they knew.

The wife is a social worker, she was livid when the mental health issue emerged. The 3 day revolving door at the last hospital she worked at was awful. Until a person said they were going to hurt themselves or others, they couldn't hold them, and the hospital just wanted to get the bed open. It was scary.

We don't know how the weapons were stored. It is quite possible she thought they were secured, but this "highly intelligent" whackjob figured out how to circumvent those measures. Not going to indict her until more facts are available.

Totally agree. Completely mind boggling and totally negligent that she would not take extreme care to keep these weapons out of his hands if this is the case. This tragedy should have been totally preventable.
