This has me wondering as well. It isn't like any company (whose primary focus is to generate revenue) to simply cut out a portion of their profits due to a moral compass suddenly run-amok as the result of a recent tragedy.

Either these companies are receiving encouragement (pressure) from somewhere, or they are fearful of future boycotts. I'm guessing the former because I find it highly improbable that they would preemptively counter boycotts that haven't happened yet.

It will be interesting to see Wal-Marts moves in the coming days.

A few years ago I went into Gander Mountain in Aurora and asked about an AR. The guy behind the counter said something to the effect that AR type rifles did not portray the right image, or some bullshit like that. (They had since re-thought that once they realized there was money to be made.) But from that day on I never stepped foot in that store. And I will now do the same favor for JAX and Dicks.

Well for FUX sake, JAX...... Not sure I'll be going there again.

well Dick's always sucked, so that doesn't surprise (and they never got a dime of my money), but Jax, well fuck you too Jax. I think I'll go in tomorrow, load up a full shopping cart with lots of high profitable stuff, walk up towards the checkout and then ask to see a manager. when he (she) comes up, politely explain that I don't do business with companies that don't support the constitution and walk out.

Should not be a huge suprise to anyone but Cheaper Than Dirt has seized all firearms sales effective immdeiatly. Just saw this on Facebook and went to their page and saw their banner stating it. Never been a customer and never will be.

    From their Facebook page:

Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories.
Cheaper Than Dirt! has temporarily suspended online sales of firearms.

As a long time supporter of the Second Amendment, Cheaper Than Dirt! will continue to promote the safe and responsible use of firearms by law abiding customers. During this temporary suspension, we will review our policies and promotions.

I've never found Jax to have much of a selection or to be price competitive at all. This move is going to cost them. Do they think that the anti-s Wil be rushing in to buy the new friendly guns?

Maybe we could get a boycott sticky of all the places doing the dirty?

Unbelievable, I have a coupon sitting on my desk for $5 bucks off a purchase of $25 or more. I was planning on stopping in at the Lafayette one to use it for a box of SD ammo. I won't be doing that now. I will stop by and make sure to voice my opinion on their practice.

Too bad, I have tried to support the Lafayette shop since they opened, because of the convenience factor, I could pick up small amounts of reloading supplies, and avoid the hazmat shipping fees, but never again.

What is it these stores think you're going to accomplish by no longer selling these types of items. Other then pissing off most of their customers I don't see an upside to this for the businesses.

    Am I missing something?
