Trying to trap a wild cat we have been feeding.

I set a trap with some wet food so I can take this Cat to the Humane society. I have been feeding it since it was a Kitten and do not want it to starve when I leave. Is there anything I can put in the trap the Cat will not resist? I tried wet and dry food but he will not go into the trap, same trap as the Humane society uses. Thanks

I am in city limits and do not think I could do it that way, I seen my uncle do it to a dog and it took 4 shots before it died. If I could catch it I would use Argon gas to slowly and painlessly put it to sleep.

If it is a truly feral cat you are probably not it's only source of food. Let it be. It will survive as long as it needs to.
