Years ago I scored a sweet 686 357 with some trigger work for under $400 actually made money on that deal last year they even did a transfer on a AR lower receiver for me but there sales people seemed a bit uniformed on guns.

They are an "outdoor mercantile" who also sells kitchen crap so I'm not terribly surprised by all this but I still feel pissed about their lack of back bone and support of the 2A.

Once upon a time Jax had a gun friendly staff and selection. At that time they were on 14 (mulberry) where the RENT 2 Own place is/was, north side of 14.
THEN they moved to N. College and away went the guns. The owner has never been firearm friendly. I believe IIRC the gun dept mgr came back and they resumed selling guns, not the BRD style. Then they carried,some, now they do not.

I was also irritated that the owner posted that there are thousands of places to purchase "assault weapons." Just another sheep that fell for the hype.

and Brownells, they really cancelled existing orders, not just jacked remaining stock? Cancelling an order is much worse than just bumping prices IMO. An agreement has already been made. SportsmansGuide did that to me around 5 years ago, cancelled my little preferred buyer thingie and never went back.
