    Looks nice...

You just need some FDE rail ladders on the handguard to balance her FDEness out.

Yup and a FDE PMAG in the well. So, FDE furniture forward, and a LMT bolt carrier internally are next. Hopefully I'll get a lot more of it done payday.

I've since dumped the QD buckle on the sling. I'll probably also add the CTR butt pad since those that have them are raving about them.

How well does that sling set up work? Does it allow you to carry it accross the front of you?

how do you like that magpul ctr stock? I've been thinking of getting one for my sig, but would like to hear from an owner of one, to see if it's worth changing the stock one.

    Sling

Sling is a Vickers VCAS two point sling. Currently my favorite sling.

The sling is connected to the front rail via a qd swivel mount. The rails are MI two piece non-FF. The sling is connected aft to a Tango Down PR4 mount.

As deployed.... The sling leaves the aft hole on the PR4 and goes up over my right shoulder. It travels down across my back and under my left arm. I snug the thing up pretty tight. I have enough slack to shoulder the rifle with no adjustments. The butt of the stock rides very close to my right shoulder, and the VFG ends up about belt buckle high. Mounting the gun is quick since all I have to do is pivot it up.

The slider tab on the VCAS allows for fast and easy adjustments. I can transition between shoulders one of two ways, thanks to the PR4. The sling in the rear hole means that the gun can swivel up and over the sling so the sling effectively ends up on the other side, and does not choke me. So the gun rides muzzle down and to the left across my chest.

Step by step how to transition from right shoulder to left.....

-Right hand leaves the pistol grip and grabs the front of the magwell.

    -Left hand leaves the VFG.
-Left arm moves up and then down through the sling loop. This leaves the sling around my neck. (Oftent referred to as ducking the sling.)

-Left arm goes down throught the loop, between the sling and the gun. As the left hand passes the sling it goes under the sling and then up on the other side of the sling grabbing the slider tab.

-Left hand grabs the slider tab and pull it away from the gun. At the same time the right hand pivots the muzzle down, so the stock will clear the sling, and pulls the gun to the right. This helps pull out the slack, and positions the gun butt closer to the left shoulder.

-When the gun clears the sling and pivots to the right, the left hand drops the sling tab and assumes a grip on the pistol grip, pulling the butt to the left shoulder.

It sounds very complex, but is a very simple and fluid movement. With practice it is very fast.

Second option. I unplug the sling from the front, let out some slack and plug it into the side of the PR4, leaving the other swivel in the rear hole. So now there is a swivel in the side, and one in the rear. And whatcha know about that, now I'm running what is essentially a single point sling. With the slack adjusted I can run shoulder to shoulder with no adjustments. The gun hangs vertical, and slightly lower then when its configured as a two point.

I'm currently testing the Gear Sector GS-2P sling as well. So I'll let you know how that goes.

    Stock

The stock is a MagPul CTR - Milspec. It is sitting on a mil-spec lower receiver extension, this one by CMT/Stag. The stock fits so snugly on the tube that it is at time hard to move back and forth. And when I lock it in place it basically becomes one piece with the tube. It does not rattle or flop around or move at all. It is the most solid stock I have used outside of my MagPul M93B.

The top lever is the one you use to move the stock back and forth, like a standard tele-stock. The lower lever locks the thing in place. There is a QD swivel point at the rear of the stock that works on both sides. The stock is drilled and tapped so to speack for a rubber buttpad. I don't have one yet, but everyone I have talked to says its a great addition. I'll probably add one on payday.

Although it won't work with the AR-15, there is also a cheek piece / riser you can get for the stock that will work with your SIG or if you use the stock on another non-AR platform.

The CTR is now available in black, od, fde, and foliage green. You can get the Vickers sling to match, and MagPul makes their PMAGS and rail covers in matching colors now.

And if you buy QD swivels for the sling, try to get the ones that do not rotate all the way around, but opt for the ones that have roation limiters. Otherwise your sling ends up a tangled mess of fabric instead of a useful tool.

Last I checked, Paul at Bravo Company had the stocks and slings in stock in all colors. They may not appear on the website so call for updated stock. Other vendors have them too, but the customer service from Bravo is hard to beat.

Making some progress here. And learning the camera while I'm at it.

Added a Magpul PMAG in FDE and two Mapul rail covers in FDE. I have two more, but its not working out for size just yet. I also swapped out the MI QD sling swivel adaptor on the rail for a new Daniel Defense model that limits the swivel rotation.

I'll be adding a clickie tailcap on the G2. The CTR stock and PMAG continue to impress me.

I left the sling off for these pics.

    More to come.
