Default Disgustingly false article put out by 9News.

    http://www.9news.com/news/article/30...g-violent-acts

    Just one of the lies:
"But the ban and other U.S. gun laws wouldn't have prevented his mother's purchase of the powerful assault rifle or the especially deadly ammunition that he used to kill 26 people."

"especially deadly ammunition" where do they get this stuff?

Just writers trying to use adjectives and going way overboard with it.

They don't care about accuracy in their reporting, they have an agenda.

And that agenda, on any topic, is selling airtime or papers or magazines. I loathe the media.

Blasted them a little over it on their FB page. I'm sure they'll delete it shortly.

Well ,to be fair, does anyone know if he used hollow or soft point bullets? Those are designed specifically to cause more soft tissue damage and be more lethal. It's still a very biased article, but it could be accurate to some degree.

I take issue with that particular phrasing because there are no varying degrees of "deadly." Like digital logic, it either is or is not. Stating that it was "especially deadly ammunition" is intended to invoke fear that this guy was out to make people really, really dead, as opposed to mostly dead.

But that's just not true. Hollow points are undeniably more deadly to a human than a FMJ or solid cast bullets. There very much are varying degree's of deadly. Both kill you the same dead, but some are far more likely to do it, with all other conditions being the same, than others. Otherwise we would all be using the cheapest FMJ ammo in our HD and CCW's instead of purpose made expensive self defense ammo.

that is exactly right in such as if he'd have used a .308, the lifes lost would still be the same.
