I served Ronin, I just don't like people who send other people to die but will not stand next to them. Its his choice, but I think he is a bad ambassador to the 2nd Amendment and that is only one of many reasons so.

Ok, so I take it you weren't drafted, coerced, or otherwise forced against your will to join up. If I'm correct in this, I'll continue- my dad, never served, too young to be drafted, and very pro military, does this make him bad? No. Do you think perhaps people can have a change of heart? Do you think maybe Ted didn't want to go fight in Vietnam, when one of our own presidents claimed that it wasn't our fight? Military service is not for everyone, I'm proud to say that I defend the right for people to not join, and help their nation in other ways. Ted never sent anyone to die- you look at war from a very fucked up liberal perspective- we don't send our troops to die, we send our troops to fight, there's a difference there. I think Ted is a very good ambassador to the 2nd, and just because he didn't go off and fight (I probably would have avoided the draft too) doesn't make him less of an American. Grow up. You look at things from such a biased POV, I'm not surprised hardly anyone here likes you. I'm sure you're a smart, friendly person, but I wouldn't buy you a round if I had a gun to my head... you can't look at the other side of things. I'm sure if SHTF here, Ted would proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with people who served and people who chose not to serve.

I have no problem with anyone who did not serve. I volunteered, my father volunteered (Vietnam time frame too), my grand father.... all the way back the French and Indian Wars; I have someone who served that was in the tree. I have no problem with people who were drafted or who even shirked the draft. But Ted over the last 10 years was about as pro war as it could get. Now whether you want to argue semantics about dying or serving does not matter to me one bit. Because if we are going to be sending those who serve this nation into harms way, we must make sure that we do it for reasons that the leaders themselves would feel are strong enough to send themselves or their kin to die for.

I don't care if you like me, my point is bigger than myself.

Your point is hypocritical... So Obama didn't ever serve, and he sends troops into harms way every day... Your thoughts on this? As for Ted, do I have to come and physically beat this into your thick skull? Ted may not have agreed with the war, he may not have felt he could best serve in the military, there are a number of reasons, and who are you to fault him for that? I served, I was very proud of my service, but unlike you, I'm not a pompous little fuckbag that thinks my service somehow makes me better than those who didn't serve. You think because Ted dodged the draft in his youth, and is now pro war is somehow wrong... no you are what's wrong with this country. You think it's wrong, or hypocritical to have a change of heart or mind... guess what highspeed, people do that all the time! Faulting them for that just makes you look like a major douche. Who are you to judge someone else based on their actions or beliefs? Wake up genius, you live in a glass house, why on earth are you throwing stones?

Ronin, do you really have to be such a jerk? Really?

My whole point is people like Ted were the ones calling liberals or anti war people unpatriotic scum..... for what? Calling for caution before we went to war. So yeah I think he is a piece of garbage and I have a good memory of the 2000s to remember why.

You guys need a juice box and a nap?
    Stop pissing on each other.

Back on topic, I always liked Nuge's music, politics, philosphies and frankness. But I will agree in the current environment he comes across too strong. He has the money, morals and smarts to be a great ambassador for the 2A. Now if he could come across a bit less brash and arrogant he could accomplish something with it......

I wanted to be done with you, but you keep going. Yes, I have to be a jerk when someone is blatantly being a pompous, self-righteous ass... I remember the 2000's too, 9/11 is about 80% of the reason I chose to swear the oath. I won't get into a pissing match with you, and a lot weren't calling for "caution" they were outright calling for us to do nothing. Big difference. You remind me of those Clydesdales I see every Christmas, they have the blinders put on so they can only see certain things... if you were able to look at things from a different perspective, you might actually see something you might not normally see, and your opinion could change.
