Default If the government does ban assault weapons does the government have to.....

Subsidize places of business, manufacturers and dealers money because they took away something that was legal one day and not legal the next. How can a government put out so many businesses without being responsible for the loss of income. A manufacturer that makes millions of dollars each year on their business should not be wrong by the government in my opinion. They have been doing something that has been completely legal for many many years and then all of a sudden the government says it's not legal anymore just doesn't sit well with me. Just would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this on a legal standpoint.

No, the government is not responsible for the negative financial impact of its policies.

If that is the case, You may want to invest in some PVC tubing and a shovel.

We sold the jobs off of nearly half the nation for "freetrade" and no one cared then. You think they are going to care about gun manufactures? lol

OK so it was the freeloaders that sent the factories to China for taxbreaks. It was the "freeloaders" that bribed congress to send their jobs to China not the wallstreet types who own the industry.... OK

It was the fact that freeloader would prefer to stay at home getting the "free pudding" rather than working, because they made more money sitting on their asses and doing nothing!! The jobs outsourced to other countries were beneath your peers!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR VOTING FOR OBAMA!!

that is the last thing they will care about. They don't care if private business takes a dump, especially if they can get government workers in its place. In this case it is a big win for the democraps and liberals like nynco who like to see the pacification of American...slowly killing it.

OP: What you're essentially asking is for the taxpayers to partially correct illegal government actions. The government illegally (through mere statute) violates a fundamental, Constitutionally guaranteed right, then 'pays' the monetarily damaged parties with stolen funds. Sounds like business as usual...
