Anyone else worried number of untrained newbs heading out to the ranges with their new "toys" putting a hole in one another and making us look bad even more so then we already do?

Unless they started panic buying early, then they won't have any ammo to shoot their new guns. However, we ALL need to make sure we try to help any of these new owners learn gun safety and proper handling if/when the opportunity passes us.

Very good point. We need to be exceptionally careful about how we treat our new gun owners. Be respectful and polite, but make sure they are safe and responsible.
