GunBroker or ArmsList?

So, I've resisted the temptation to sell anything so far with all that's going on, but due to an unexpected event and financial reasons am now planning on selling a few things that I don't really use (can get more later, and if not, oh well...)

Do you guys have any advice on whether GunBroker or ArmsList would be the best place to sell (price-wise)? I've used Gunbroker before and am familiar with the auction-method, but have never used Armslist...

Frankly, I have better luck listing on here for gun sales. When you add the listing, shipping and FFL transfer fees, what you can get here is usually a better deal for both the buyer and seller.

With that said, Gunbroker. I would not list anyhting on Armslist, nor buy there.

10 PMags sold for $980 on gun broker, and a member here sold an AR pistol for $2G on Armslist.

I would say Gunbroker if you want to reach the most tards willing to pay insane prices for anything firearms related.
But you have the hassle of shipping out of state and having to know the firearms laws of the state you are shipping to.

Arms list, you can meet locally and get a similar insane price but beware of the crazies that may attempt to rob you, or selling to someone not able to own a firearm.

Armslist was created after Craigslist banned gun sales. It is similar to CL in a lot of ways, including the number of idiots emailing you.

You need to be careful buying or selling on armslist. I only post things for sale there when they fail to sell here. I often get ten emails the first day: half from normal, articulate, polite and knowledgeable folks, and half from degenerate retards texting lolspeak ebonics from their phone. A lot of lowball offers, offers to trade crap nobody wants, requests that you meet them in the hood or out in the middle of nowhere after dark.

Never post your phone number or email address in the ad . . . they can click on "contact seller" and you'll get an email. They will not get your email address unless you reply. Most of the individuals who contact me on armslist don't get a reply, because I don't like the way they sound or they are lowballing me on a firm price.

All that being said, I've bought and sold on armslist for 5 years and only had two bad experiences. One time I bought a .25 automatic that the seller did not realize was loaded with a round in the chamber . . . and the springs were so stiff it was difficult to rack the slide. Another time I was selling a M1 carbine to an old guy who obviously had lots of money, and he decided to lowball me by $100 at the time of the transaction. Aside from those two idiots every other transaction went smoothly with no problems. But like I said, expect a lot of weird emails and be very selective about who you reply to. There were a couple recent ads claiming that someone is using counterfeit twenties to buy guns and it gives their description. Always a lot of scams and robberies close to Christmas, even on armslist apparently.

Gun broker is better..but armlist for local buyers if you dont want to mess w/ shipping to ffl, money order etc.

I agree with GB. I sold a rifle to an out of state buyer and there were no issues. I verified the laws online and called the receiving FFL to make 100% sure I didn't miss anything. I had a local FFL do the boxing and shipping and with the price you may get today the extra $70 is well worth not having to hastle with it.... or at least it was to me.
