Frankly, I was pissed the NRA's big plan was to push for more school resource officers. With budgets so tight there's no way it would happen. No mention of permit holders carrying in school.

BTW - Chris Christie lost my vote. His knee jerk response to this was typical progressivism, not conservatism.

The issues of federal/military in civilian matters is a bit sketchy for me, but I kinda like the National Guard or maybe reserves idea. Have all these troops with benefits but don't get paid all that much more than private security. Gives them something to do and a bit of extra pay from extra days. Either volunteers for a full time duty or a rotation of different people covering different days.
