Thanks QuickDraw, I'll give them a call. Mike thanks so much for letting me meet up with you and checking out your DTA, was a big help with a lot of the questions I had.

It's a cool concept. Too bad they don't offer a .223 barrel. It'd make for cheap practice.

I hear ya Tim. I'm actually putting together a .223 bolt, partly for that reason, partly for critters. So far I have a KRG Whiskey 3 folder, 5 AI mags for it. Probably gonna have Bugholes put together a barreled action for me and run the 75gr amax. I've been talking with a few guys on it, and while it may not be the cats meow at long range, they have a couple they keep in classes and guys are running them to 1K with good results.

You know money can pretty much buy anything these days, and I'm pretty sure they(DTA)/the barrel makers can do something for a .223/5.56

Trigger Time sells the most DTA's in the state for that matter and can get DTA's in all the chassis from .243 - .338, Even had a HTI in 50 cal once upon a time. Zach and Paui both compete with them quite a bit and can get you going.

I just received a 308 conversion for my DTA. This might not be as cheap to shoot as a 223 but it sure is cheaper to shoot than my 338 LM. It will be fun to see how it compares to the 338 LM.
