Arrow Anyone here running a DTA?

I'd like to get behind a DTA and feel how it functions. No range time needed, but would love to see if I would be comfortable behind a bull pup bolt rifle. Love the idea of the caliber switch kits, and the compact design with full length barrels but have my doubts about running a bolt that far back. I'm far from a precision marksman but enjoy it none the less and DTA rifles has my add kicking in. Let me know if some one around, Longmont to the Springs, East to West, would let me check it out if possible. Thanks!

ETA: Even if you know of a stocking dealer that would work to!

    Haven't been behind a DTA.

Trigger Time gun Club in Longmont stocks them.

Paul the owner of Triggertime and Zak an employee were shooting DTA's at Raton match I was at, 7wsm and a 260. Paul was shooting next to me at the practice range, 7wsm/28" barrel/suppressor. Certainly is compact design compared to a traditional bolt rifle, wouldn't have guessed Paul's barrel was 28".

Pretty cool design and they seem to work well.

I shot this years Cup with a guy that had one. I think it was a straight 284. He seemed very happy with it.

Even though it is a bullpup, the trigger is actually pretty good. Normally those two do not go hand in hand.

Maybe I'll need to make a trip to trigger time and check it out. I want to look into aftermarket support, triggers for instance like you mention Hoser. But more interested in will it fit me comfortably .

Specialty Sports in the Springs used to have some but after this last week who knows. Might be worth a call though.

I have one in 338 LM and like it. I plan on shooting it tomorrow, Wednesday, at Cherry Creek Gun Club located at 1310 S. Clinton St. I am going to chrono a couple of loads. I leave Thursday morning to drive back to AZ. and probably won't be back to Colorado until the end of May.

You can meet me at 11 AM if you want to try mine. You can call me at 720-244-4545

Talk to Zak or Paul at Triggertime in Longmont. They both own them, stock them, and know a lot about them.
