How long do you guys anticipate before parts start coming off of back order and prices go back to normal

Not until the mass shootings stop, a pro-gun President is elected (4yrs minimum), and the talk of gun legislation slows WAY down!
I just did a search of Brownell's web site and they are backordered on anything remotely associated with AR's. Crazy!!

My bet is that things will loosen up a little in mid January. I spent a lot of time talking to various manufacturers and distributors last week. Most of them have product coming in regularly.
Complete rifles, magazines and ammo will be in short supply until the final determination of a Federal law is made. Colorado on the other hand will most likely see a ban put into place even though a Federal ban has less of a chance. Parts OTOH will free up. As of Friday, the only thing I could not get confirmation for 1st week of January delivery for was BCGs. However, I was told they would likely be shipped 2nd week of January.
Cheaper than dirt has no AR barrels, no magazines except a five rounder available and one type of stripped upper receiver (Vltor w/o forward assist) only. All are on back order. This cannot be a Colorado phenomenon. This mania must be nationwide.

At best this is a two year deal, could be 4, and could be a hell of a long time depending on our fearless retards in Washingotn. I use the term retards very loosly. We elected them, we have only ourselves to blame. On another note, most of us have been preparing for this moment since the sunset in 2004, so I say. SELL, SELL and SELL some more. In the business world you call it ROI. Have a Merry Christmas.
Let's see, manufactures deliver to wholesales, products get allocated to sales reps, sales rep provide to largest purchasers, largest purchasers store in warehouse then ship to retail stores, retail stores receive and inventory shipment then stock the shelves. more than 4 weeks I would suspect.

Of course, but nationwide it will subside. With Colorado being the prime target of the gungrabbers, it will not let up on the retail side anytime soon. This cannot be a Colorado phenomenon. This mania must be nationwide.
Randy, maybe that is the way you get treated, but most firearms from factory to consumer are well under a month. There are numerous people who have bought Glocks, Smiths, etc. with testfire dates less than a week prior to receipt.
